I come back this post... and now I am not quite sure where to continue. I guess I must try to cover my activities generally over the past 2 years in a few sentences (because I don't wish to ramble on forever). Since high school, I have been involved heavily in the hospitality industry as an apprentice baker and pastry chef, first at Woolworths for a few months and then to my current job in wholesale at Abe & Gizelles Patisserie in North Ryde. I have come to realise that work in the food industry is a much more demanding job than first I anticipated. That's not to say the actual workload itself is extreme, rather the hours. In my past roughly year and a half at the wholesale where I currently work, my hours have ranged anything from my regular shift of 9 to 5 (like most regular folk) to as extreme as 9am to 1 am the following morning. Of course I am being payed properly for such ridiculous overtime and deservedly so, but it has slowly sunk in for me that this is a practice that does not do my body any good. To begin with, my health was not fabulous even 2 years ago when I finished high school and has deteriorated steadily over the intervening period. Therefore I have decided that I will take a break from this industry starting this coming year, so long as I can find a part time job to move into with which to sustain myself. In the following year or so, I intend to focus heavily on getting myself back into shape, as I have also come to the realization that there are certain hereditary conditions I risk later on in life due to poor health, not least of which is type 2 diabetes, and as far as I am concerned, the sooner I deal with the problem of improving my health, the better off I will be in the long run. I also intend to use some of the free time created by this lack of work to retrain my musical competencies and possibly acquire some new ones (such as some actual theory training). I am sorry you had to put up with 2 very long winded and formal sounding posts, but I thought it best that I write it down properly and formally just to finalize it in my own mind and also to indicate to my friends how serious and determined I am about doing this. So when will this long speech be over... well it is.

... Or rather sometimes I wish I could. This is my first post since my re-activation of my Live journal after about 2 years and I have a very different look on life and friends. My very close friends will know about the matter regarding my father and will understand why in that sense I am attempting to draw my friends closer together again. I have re-discovered my love of the guitar after many years (and have been forced to realize the lack of ability I had with it all those years ago) and have also re-discovered my love/need to perform. I will continue this post in a second part later but for now my friends take comfort in the fact that someone is probably more exhausted than you. LOL

yeah okay i know it's been forever since i last updated. I thought i'd give a recap. Scott's in Lebanon as part of the multinational border security, im in the middle of my goddam HSC exams and bored and stressed outta my brain (okay maybe less stressed, more bored) because there is absolutely nothing to do. So i'm gonna post some web comic urls. From what ive read of them these are the good ones. And yes flay, you might know a signifigant number of thses. OMFG Les Mis w00t!!!!!

In case I didn't mention the name earlier, Les Miserables is the musical I performed these holidays as part of an Australian musical company.
And it fucking rocked \m/ ^^ \m/

It's been the best lesson in drama i could have asked for, me being only a singer as such before this. On top of it all, the producer Kate Alexander was a complete are theatre nut!! xD Meaning in every scene she wanted to make the set on stage interesting by using our body shapes to make interesting shadows and shapes and the like. w00t go modern art! lol. And a mega first, this is the first show i've been in where i wasn't nervous as hell to walk on stage. BE AFRAID!!! Completely the opposite in fact. The crowd just seemed to amp everyone to work even harder xD so there's my musical rant and thankoo for reading xD

Yayys!!! I got a part in a musical! *Dances*. Ok so maybe it's not Hollywood or anything, but it's a start. Its also a minor role, but you gotta start somewhere right? Plus it's gonna be a heap of fun. So long crappy Australian Idol backing choir (although goodbye Mark Holdan T_T) and hello REAL stage productions. Eventually I wanna do musical lead parts and start a band. (Someone else is gonna have to write the musix though x_x)The only problem with the band part is A: i have no current contacts in the music industry to find members/players. B: I am primarily used to working with either semi-professional or professional acts so when auditioning band members i would probably set my standards too high. >.> (This is in no way meant to be a talk-up of myself, trust me it's more frustrating than it sounds)

Last sunday (okay yesterday) I had a kata exam. Pretty big exam, but not lifechanging. I was so nervous, but i just passed. Then my sensei comes up to me and says he wants me to come over and talk to the panal of teachers. A bit unusual, but yeah, okay. Then he suddenly kicks me in the back of the knee, causing me to fall and land on my knees. I went to draw on him, but he caught my draw arm and gave me the "hey! hang on!" sorta look. The head sensei on the panal then comes up and says he's awarding me the rank of a chunin! I just sat there for about a minute trying to say something and failing miserablly (i kant speeell). (just to explain this for everyone, ninjutsu has three major ranks apart from your dan/kyu ranking. All ninja are either a jonin(master ninja/the head of a clan or someone who has reached the highest ranks in the style) chunin (in the fudal ages these would have been the sensei and the higher ranked soldiers) and genin (everyone else). Most ninja in modern ninjutsu are genin for most of their careers. My sensei then went on to tell me that with official records, i was the 4th youngest chunin in the history of the clan. I mean O.O . As far as i'm concerned, I certainly dont think i deserve this honour, especially since i'm not even the best in my class or anything >.> . After they told me, i just fainted partially because of the shock and partially since i had a massive cold that had caused me to hyperventilate

okay, i'm not sure how well this is gonna work, but i wanna try anyways. I'm only free this saturday, which is also my little bro Will's B'day, meaning i can still probably do something this weekend but i will have to be home slightly early, however if everyone still wants to do something this weekend post up and any ideas on where to go would be a good idea too ^^. cos i think me and shiro are starting to get a little bit sick of parra xD.

Hey Guys it's frank.. i know i haven't posted in forever, but im on hols in melbourne and i thought i'd see how everyone was going. ^^ Don't worry guys, i haven't desserted you, i'll be back for last week of hols :P but until then, i'm stuck in the next state down being dragged around by my parents. Oh and guys i don't know if this is gonna be my only post until i get back or not yet. Internet caf'e is 5 FUCKING BUCKS and hour. Yay!! It's finally bloody over. I'm sorry if one of the performers doesn't really give a dam about the whole Idol "hype". So it's official, Idol-itis does exist. There are two strains: The A strain idol fanatics who can't get enough of the show, who swarm outside the opera house in droves that exceed numbers of 750,000 and who personally, annoy the pants off me (Yes Michael Bahum, i didn't see you but i'm damn sure you were out there somewhere cos you sure as hell wern't in the green room) - why are they never green? O.o -
Then there is the B strain which i happen to have and is generally reserved for performers, the sufferers show symptoms of completely gladly palming off any idol related material, not even learning the names of the people you have to sing for and so on. The only upside to the entire night: when the chick with the dyed white hair came out on stage during dress rehearseal, wearing an outfit that would not look out of place at a sgt. peppers reunion, the guy standing next to me yells out "OH MY FUCKING GOD!!! IT's ROD STEWERT!!" XDDDDDD

Attended a very interesting lecture at Baulkam Hills High School Yesterday. The Guest speaker was a one Dr Benjamin Miyamoto 9th Dan Tennen Rishen-Ryu Ninjutsu. He's also an ex-surgeon. His talk was on human pressure points and also on re-developed techniques. There were also related demonstrations from students of the school he learns at in Japan. Afterwards, all the 2nd Dan and higher students sat down with the lecturer for a small group discussion (I feel so priveliged ^^) and the younger students joined the students of his school for some training workshops. We then joined the younger students for some of our own drills and a mock tournament. I placed 8th overall in the tournament, Scott placed 3rd with Dr Miyamoto taking the 1st prize very spectacularly, ending the final match with a flat thrust to his opponants neck with his bokuto.
I still owe Scott one when we get back to training normally, he was the one that knocked me out in the prelim rounds. :P

The only downer to this weekend is that, despite all efforts, i have been unable to find a suitable swordsmith to forge me a new kodachi. My current one having been broken cleanly half way down the blade. Ah well

Where is everyone gonna meet to catch busses, trains, taxis etc. and where does everyone intend to meet at town hall. Your comments plz because i wanna get as much straightened out as possible as soon as possible, and lana, zoe can come with us or meet us there if she wants, i already know she's going this year, but it's completely up to her.

bllarg. Yeah, it's exam time for us yr 11s. Most hatred part of my school year. On the plus side.. worked at a church garage sale on saturday, had alot of fun. Saw alot of people i haven't seen in a long time, And had fun kicking off the dealers and traders who tried to sneak into the garage sale before we opened. ^^ (and by kick, i mean literally) But my heartfelt sympathies go out to all the Australian Year 11 Students who are just about to start their exams. Oh and a random choir update, We MAY be doing the idol final again this year, they've asked us, but it hasen't been confirmed yet. On the upside... im thinking of forming a band this and next year as im sick of not getting oportunities to sing the kind of songs i want to in music class. (I mean seriously, who the hell really likes delta goodrem anyway) I blame you mr long... GET SOME BETTER FRIKEN MUSIC FOR MUSIC PRACS. There, i've said it. Anyway catch y'all later
